This nixie device was made for a famous Dutch football player, Phillip Cocu. A Dutch television show (Tros Zomeravond Cafe) wanted to give Phillip Cocu a nice present as a 'thank you' for all the succes he had in his long career as a footballer. The gadget is a counter to keep track of the international games that Cocu has played in.

The design was made by Bas Bossinade and me. Bas made all that nice plexiglass work with LED backlit and I made the electronics for the tubes. Bas is a very inspired designer that loves to work with light and sound.

Each time the counter is changed, the displays gives a short animation with spinning numbers and flashing LED's. It is based on the Z570M-1 nixie clock design.
